EP4 | Homicide is a top cause of maternal death in the United States

For the first time, researchers compared statistics of homicide and pregnancy-related deaths in the United States. It revealed that pregnant women die by homicide at more than twice the rate than pregnancy-related deaths. Moreover , pregnant women’s racial group, partner and age also affects pregnancy-related homicides.
