In this episode, I will introduce the content of the Diamond Sutra, and will take all of you to practice mindfulness meditation for anxiety and insomnia.

A 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia's West Java province on Thursday (Dec 8). The country's geophysics agency said, prompting residents in areas near the epicentre to flee their homes in panic. Last month, a shallow 5.6-magnitude struck the city of Cianjur, also in West Java. A suspected Islamic militant suicide bomber killed a police officer and wounded 10 other people in an attack on a police station in the Indonesian city of Bandung. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that's triggered by a terrifying event — either experiencing it or witnessing it. Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares and severe anxiety, as well as uncontrollable thoughts about the event. Mindfulness practices may be of benefit to trauma survivors. Research findings show that mindfulness can help with problems and symptoms often experienced by survivors. Mindfulness could be used by itself or together with standard treatments proven effective for PTSD.
