1【customary 慣例的】- 形容詞
In Spain, it is customary to eat a grape for each of the 12 chimes of the clock at midnight on New Year's Eve.
（西班牙人習慣在除夕夜時，隨著午夜的 12 聲鐘聲吃下12顆葡萄。）
2【soba 蕎麥】- 名詞
In Japan, it is traditional to eat soba noodles on New Year's Eve.
（日本傳統會在除夕夜吃蕎麥麵。）
3【hogmanay 除夕夜】- 名詞
In Scotland, it is traditional to welcome in the new year with a celebration called Hogmanay.
（蘇格蘭在傳統上會舉行名叫 Hogmanay 的慶祝活動來迎接新年。）

In America, it is customary to tip the waiter.（在美國有給服務生小費的慣例。）
In Taiwan, it is customary to walk over the door threshold.（台灣的習俗是必須要跨過門檻。）
