I wish I could say I understand the drama better, because Im not even sure if Im watching a movie or a soap opera. Is this the typical way of romance dramas? I recognize that its supposed to be a romantic drama, so the audience is supposed to get the happy ending, but I cant help but feel that its kinda wrong. I just bought this drama with the expectation that it was going to be an American feel good story, a modern day Romeo and Juliet. Ive been watching Korean dramas for over 10 years now and have never been disappointed. But I always thought that they were much more well written than any other dramas Ive seen. This one literally has its flaws from start to finish. The quality isnt very high, even in the middle of the drama. The writing and directing is so uneven its borderline comedy. The acting is almost completely atrocious. Yeowoo was the worst acting in a drama Ive ever watched. She does not know how to act. Hwangbo is a horrible actor. I didn't know there were scenes where she could speak well. Do you see all the hype about her? Even though Im a fair weather fan, I normally like to watch Korean dramas which is one reason why I never turn down any challenges they send my way. Unfortunately this one turned out to be one of the worst ones. Im not sure if its my age or it was during a worse slump for the drama industry, but Ive seen way worse and more awkward acting by Korean actors. The first time i watched this drama, i was pretty unsatisfied with it. After all, it was the first romantic drama that i watch after watching countless of my cousin sisters dramas. So, i decided to give it another try and i got better impression. It was more interesting and more compelling. It was great. I mean, there was a lot of cliffhanger and unexpected twists. It was better than can be expected for the first half. At some point, i love how the story went to the second half. It was more less predictable. It was a very good drama. You can trust the author's track record for a drama for sure. I mean, this is not one of those one-episode-ish type of dramas. It was gripping. It was powerful. It was emotionally connecting. At the same time, this drama could be upsetting because of its theme and the fact that many characters died. I think the best thing that this drama gave was the lead couple. It gave an image that no matter what people say, there is nothing better than love. If anything, the romance aspect of the drama is really good. It was great. I mean, its like a real life love story. Both Hwangbo and Yeowoo are really adorable. If you ever want a good romance, give this a try. And if you have any questions, dont hesitate to ask.
