As usual, jBridge went above my expectations. The version of jBridge for Windows is stable, stable and stable. I have never used a product without some bugs and jBridge continues to be everything I hoped for and more. Version 1.2 marks the first public release of jBridge and it's clear that every single feature possible in the program has been carefully thought out and then added to jBridge. When it comes to bridging, jBridge bridges one VST plugin into another, preferably without affecting audio quality. As soon as I turn on a VST plugin in Studio One, jBridge appears and quickly selects a file and then lets me choose the plugin I want to link to the VST. I haven't even found an intuitive way to tell jBridge where to put the plugin. I have to remember a directory and then I have to remember to find and open that folder every time I want to use that plugin. This is enough frustration to put me off bridging.jBridge works for Windows only. The simple interface prevents it from overwhelming. You have one menu item, which lets you browse for a plugin. You can also change settings on the plugin - but you cannot make settings that will affect the plugin. For example, if you have a plugin which uses OpenAL, you cannot set OpenAL off. You can only set the volume and the sample rate. jBridge has a list of the plugins that you have installed, a very small list. This seems a little unprofessional but it gets the job done. If you load a plugin from the list, jBridge automatically loads it and finds the interface you want. This is quick and easy.jBridge does not work with all VST plugins. In fact, I know of no VSTs that work. At time of writing, the only VSTs that jBridge recognises are the ones provided by Steinberg. It seems that jBridge has not had time to try and listen to every plugin in existence. I tested three plugins, I tried to link them to an updated copy of testin. I could not do this and I found the problem quickly.
