Once the download completes, you can run the installer in order to install the beta version of Microsoft Security Essentials.Microsoft Security Essentials Beta runs in the background. It takes a snapshot of your system when you run it and then continuously monitors your system for any changes to existing threats, new threats and non-infected system components. Microsoft Security Essentials Beta also provides protection for all supported systems including Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
