the game is fully playable offline, but does require a connection to the internet to download new images for the game world. the download takes just a few seconds and can be performed any time youre ready to play. this is done automatically, unless youre playing offline, in which case you'll need to wait for the game to download the images again. when playing online, you can choose a site from a dropdown menu to play against other users. this allows you to play when you have free time or when it suits you. the name of the site and nickname of the user are automatically generated when you join the game. the username is not displayed. once the game is started, youll immediately be able to choose from one of the many available games. there are currently six different games available. you can choose between a few different modes of play, including a free roaming mode where you can wander around the game world at your own pace, and mode where you can choose your character and fight for a spot on the leaderboard. the free roaming mode is completely free, however, youll be able to purchase in game cash, called vnd, to upgrade your character or buy extra weapons. coins are earned from defeating enemies, and you can spend these to buy new cards or equip your characters with new weapons or armor. you can also win coins from the leaderboard. most of the weapons and armor are unlocked at the start of the game, but others will require you to earn them. there are three different levels of difficulty, each with a corresponding level of difficulty of enemies. you can choose to play at a hard or normal difficulty level. the developers have implemented a very simple ranking system to rank users, but the way they rate you depends on how you play, so youll need to play more often to get a better rank.
