The first season of this CBS comedy started slow, but its since seen the network make the unorthodox choice to end the season with a shortened second season, despite having an array of show-defining episodes to work with. (The series has also yet to see a second season.) In Grease, an all-too-skinny Clark Beckham (Josh Duhamel) must stop his socially awkward friends from turning their first dance into a fiasco. Clark is made to face his biggest fears when he realizes his best friend, Pike (Billy Connolly), has the perfect girl for him (Emily Mortimer). The second half of season two stays true to the musical nature of the original movie, with Clark and his friends realizing what it takes to be in the spotlight. In an era when most shows tend to downplay their storylines, The New Normal attempts to throw you a curve ball with its third season. When Mark Stoops (Rob Lowe), a former rock star, comes to live with the adolescent children of his three ex-wives, it ups the drama and the angst. Former New Girl star Lowe (often the sidekick) lends a jaded bass-strung voice to the sitcoms quirky but deep show.In the second season of the show, Atlanta plays off of the fact that Hes got a TV show and now hes living the life that hes been dreaming about. While hes fighting to keep his life in order as Hes constantly being interrupted by his friends Eric (Damon Wayans), Darius (Big Boi) and his girlfriend, Theresa (Aubrey Plaza) all while trying to keep his relationship with his mother (Vanessa Bayer) on track. In season three, the friendship group attempts to expand in a good way, while the guys attempt to make some money by opening the first gay book club in Seattle. The show lets its comedy shine more often than not, with Atlanta being a champion of that, but its a good balance between wacky hijinks and genuinely touching moments. Season three also marks a second time that Katt Williams has taken the role of Andre in the role, a character who is reminiscent of Williams' real-life role as a family man and entrepreneur.
