i got it to work on my windows 10 pc. the first thing i did was remove the pip (portableapps.com menu) from the startup group. this was the only thing i changed. i also removed the "stardock objectdock plus 2.01.743 ( portable)".exe from my desktop since it wasn't any good if i wanted to use the menu. now, i launched the menu. the close button in the x was not working, but the rest was fine. so i ran the menu again and exited it. i didn't do anything after that. i did notice that it was running in the background as expected and that the system tray was not displaying anything. i checked my running processes and i found a.exe named ".stardock objectdock plus 2.01.743 ( portable)".exe". i exited the menu again and ran the.exe from my desktop. i saw that the system tray was working and the.exe was not running.objectdock was a stardock product that never saw the light of day on windows. after stardock went bankrupt, objectdock was sold to another company that has been able to hold onto the source code and make windows builds of the application. this is where the problem lies: the windows versions of objectdock have always been buggy and, as far as we are concerned, unusable, although this may change if enough people start complaining about it. the mac versions have always worked fine, even after stardock was bought out.for those who have downloaded the objectdock plus from the portableapps website, you may encounter the following error when you try to open it. the stardock source code probably has a different ui set up for the pc version of objectdock that has yet to be ported to the mac version. in other words, the mac version and the windows version are two different apps.
