it is not often that i encounter a work of art that teaches me to live my life better, but lana del ray s video games taught me that it is possible to learn from any work of art. the messages her work sends out to me are powerful and uplifting. lana reminds me of a young audrey hepburn, with her classic beauty and grace, and a voice that is both as strong and as vulnerable as the women that she is singing about. her strong and soft delivery of the gospel song is so pleasing to listen to, and it is so true. this song makes me want to get out of my comfort zone, and take a risk. i want to be myself and live my own life, without being afraid to fail or to get hurt. in this song, lana tells me that i have to be brave, but she does not mean it as a hard way. it is a positive way, and it is how i can change my life. i am looking forward to seeing what lana will do next, and i am going to be one of the people who are following her into the unknown with me.dante is a washed up actor and stage director that has to solve the murders of several famous people. the only clue is that theyve all been killed with a blunt object. dante knows that the only way to solve these is to have his only son, zack, act as the victim, so he begins to train his son in the art of murder. after dante sees something on the news that sends him over the edge, he kidnaps his wife and son and takes them away. zack, being the good son that he is, obeys his father and kills the woman he loved. the two end up in a mexican prison where they learn that there are people out there who want them dead, but who does they want dead? theres only one way to find out and that is to solve the other murders. the script for the movie of this book is ridiculous, but its very true to the character of dante. in the years since the book was written, the violence in the real world has only increased, and this book captures that tone. the story centers around the characters and the story, but in a way it fits the tone of the times. the violence is there, and the characters are there. the killings are there, and the characters are there. its really the mood of the times, and thats important. it fits the times. theres no way this book would have been made in the sixties, no way. it just doesnt fit that. theres no way this book could have been made today. but theres no way it wasnt made then.
