What Is The Circle of Control? The Circle of Control is a concept that refers to focusing on the things we can control in our lives. It’s a tool that helps us to identify and prioritize what we can . When things feel out of control, or in a moment of anxiety, overwhelm or hopelessness, draw an empty set of circles. Write out what is currently in the outer circle (be specific for your situation) . Circle or write what is causing you stress, worry, or anxiety below. Then, follow steps 1 - 5 (on the next page) by reflecting on and writing what is in your control, what is not in your control, your .and worries. Remember that some things we can control and some things we cannot control. For the things we cannot control we should ‘let them go’ and focus our energies on the things we can.
