Three princes set out to seek their fortunes. The two older brothers wasted their wealth and got stuck, while the youngest, a small and seemingly insignificant dwarf, went to find them. Along the way, he stopped his brothers from harming ants, ducks, and bees.
They arrived at a mysterious castle and discovered three tasks to break a curse: collecting a thousand pearls, retrieving a key from a lake, and identifying the youngest princess. The two older brothers failed and were turned into stone. However, with the help of the ants, ducks, and bees he had saved, the dwarf completed all tasks and lifted the curse. In the end, he married the youngest princess and became king, while his brothers married the other two princesses.
