In this episode of MCU Generation Unscripted, we’re diving into an urgent and inspiring topic: Gender Inequality in STEM Fields
Despite remarkable progress in science and technology, deep gender gaps still exist in STEM. For instance, only 11% of astronauts are women (NASA, 2024), and women hold just 26% of STEM jobs in the U.S. (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2023). These numbers reveal systemic biases that need to be addressed.
Our student hosts — Seb, Marcus, Matt, Long, and Hai — explore the challenges women face in STEM and why representation truly matters. Drawing inspiration from trailblazers like Amanda Nguyen and their Vietnamese heritage, they call for more inclusive innovation and support for women pursuing careers in science, tech, engineering, and math.
This episode is a passionate call to action: let’s break barriers, empower women, and redefine the future of STEM—together.
