How I (Finally) Stopped Being Broke in Merge Hotel Empire - My Complete Gems & Energy Guide
🟢🟢My top tip: Get Merge Hotel Empire Free Energy and Crystals the Smart and Instant Way
I would sit down with my coffee, ready to fix up that crusty lobby in Beachside Inn, merge three nice armchairs… and bam. “Out of Energy.” 0/100. Again.
Then I’d see a gorgeous Royal Sofa in the shop for 60 gems and I’d have… 12. Twelve. I couldn’t even buy a potted plant.
I almost deleted the game. Twice.
But I’m stubborn (and I really wanted that rooftop pool). So I started taking notes like a weirdo. I tracked every free gem, every energy refill, every “ad” button. And now, 3 months and one fully renovated Grand Palms Hotel later, I’m the friend in our group chat who always has energy.
So here’s my actual, no-BS, first-person guide to getting Gems and Energy in Merge Hotel Empire. Not the "download this hack" garbage. The real stuff I do while waiting for pasta water to boil.
This is the fuel. No energy = no merging = you just stare at your board like a sad hotel manager.
1. Just… wait. (I know, I hate it too.)
It regenerates 1 energy every 90 seconds. 100 max. I used to ignore this, but now I treat the game like a Tamagotchi. I play a burst in the morning, go to work, come back at lunch to 100 energy. It’s free. Don’t fight it.
2. Level Up = FULL REFILL (my favorite dopamine hit)
This is the big one. When that XP bar fills and you get the "LEVEL UP!" confetti? You get your entire energy bar back, on top of whatever you had.
Pro tip from me, to you: if you’re at 98/100 energy and one merge away from leveling up, DO NOT SPEND IT. Wait. Do the merge, level up, get 100 FREE energy. I learned this the hard way after wasting a refill at Level 17 and I still think about it.
3. Watch the ads. All of them. Yes, even the weird ones.
There’s a little TV icon on the left. 30 seconds = 30 energy, 5 times a day. That’s 150 energy. That’s a whole extra play session.
I watch them while brushing my teeth. I have seen the same mobile game ad about a king pulling pins out of a lava pit approximately 400 times. I am now emotionally invested in whether he gets the gold.
4. Open EVERY chest and bubble.
Those brown chests? The blue ones from orders? The little energy bubbles that float up when you merge? TAP THEM. Don’t just leave them sitting there looking pretty. I used to, because my board was "organized." My board is now chaos, and I have energy. Choose chaos.
5. Complete orders, but be smart.
The delivery truck orders give you chests, and chests give you energy. But don’t kill yourself filling a 3-hour order for 15 energy if you can do three 20-minute orders for 10 energy each. Do the math. (I use the calculator on my phone. I am not proud.)
Gems are for skipping timers, buying energy when you’re impatient (me), and buying those premium decorations that make your hotel look like it belongs in a magazine, not a motel 6.
1. Daily Tasks and Achievements are your job now.
Open the notebook icon. Do the 3 daily tasks. Every. Day. It’s usually "merge 5 level 4 items" or "complete 3 orders." Easy gems. The achievement tab is a slow burn, but I got 50 gems once just for merging 500 items total and I screamed.
2. The Piggy Bank (don’t break it early, I’m begging you)
You know the pig in the corner that fills up when you get gems from orders? DON’T TAP IT at 20/100. Wait until it’s full. It’s usually 80-100 gems for like $2.99, which is the only time I’ve ever spent real money in a mobile game, and it was because I was 12 gems short of a jacuzzi and I was WEAK. Worth it? …yes.
3. Events. EVENTS. EVENTS.
The seasonal events (like the current "Summer Festival" one) are gem fountains if you actually play them. You get gems for milestones, gems from event chests, gems for just showing up. I set a phone alarm for event energy refills. My husband thinks I’m crazy. He’s not wrong.
4. Clean up your hotel!
Sometimes there’s cobwebs or trash on the hotel floor in the design mode. Tap them. They give you 1-2 gems and a little coin. It adds up! I found 7 gems under a virtual rug last Tuesday. Felt like I robbed a bank.
5. DON’T SPEND GEMS ON ENERGY (unless it’s an emergency)
60 gems for 100 energy feels good in the moment. It feels terrible 10 minutes later when the new level’s furniture set drops and you’re short. I have a rule: gems are for pretty things only. Energy comes from ads and patience. (My rule breaks down around 11pm. I’m human.)
I was one merge away from getting the final item for the "Luxury Suite" order. It was a Level 8 Lamp. I had the two Level 7 Lamps. I had 0 energy. I had 59 gems.
The energy refill costs 60 gems.
I stared at my screen for a full minute. I considered my life choices. Then I watched a 30-second ad for a game where you sort colored water, got my 30 energy, made the merge, finished the order… and got a chest with 65 gems inside.
I have never felt more validated.
So yeah. That’s it. That’s my whole system.
Merge Hotel Empire isn’t a sprint, it’s a weird, cozy marathon where you occasionally yell at a toolbox to give you screws.
Play the ads, do your dailies, never waste a level up, and protect your gems like they’re the last tiny shampoo bottles from a real hotel.
Now if you’ll excuse me, my energy just hit 100 and the Palm Grove Hotel isn’t going to renovate itself.
